Isabelle is a young, Jewish woman who lives alone in uptown Manhattan and works in a bookshop. She considers herself a modern woman, independent and free to live her life as she pleases with or without a man in her life. When she is not pining after Tyler, a very handsome author, she visits her doting Bubbie (grandmother) on the Lower East Side. This delightfully nosey old lady and her friend Hannah, the matchmaker, have found a “good catch” for Isabelle – Sam, the quiet, intellectual pickle vendor in the neighborhood. Traditional values clash with modern times in this wonderful romantic comedy that will have you laughing and touch your heart! Performances will be at the Vienna Community Center on April 24, 25, May 1, 2, 8, 9 at 8 p.m. and May 3 at 2 p.m. Tickets go on sale March 24 at the Community Center. Sign language interpretation for the May 3 matinee is available by sending a request to vtcshows@yahoo.com by April 18, based on the availability of a qualified interpreter.
